Julio Madrazo
Julio Madrazo is director and founding partner of De la Calle, Madrazo, Mancera, S.C. (CMM), where he directs activities related to strategic planning, public affairs, and communication.
Before founding CMM, Julio Madrazo was a founding partner of Voy Comunicación, S.C., a communication and strategic planning services company that began operations in 2001. At Voy Comunicación he was responsible for the direction, administration and promotion of the company and led a team of consultants who provided services to government and private clients.
Previously, Julio Madrazo was Vice President for Latin America at Shepardson Stern Kaminsky, a company based in New York City in which he performed political and electoral advisory work in the region.
In the public sector, Julio Madrazo worked as a special adviser to the secretary general of the Organization of American States, where he wrote speeches for the secretary general, César Gaviria, collaborated in the restructuring of the Social Development Unit, as well as institutional liaison between the OAS, the IDB and the World Bank.
Previously, in the Presidency of the Republic of Mexico, he was political adviser to President Ernesto Zedillo and director of special projects during the six-year term of Carlos Salinas de Gortari.
From 2008 to 2011, Julio was president of the Board of Trustees of the Tamayo Museum, where he managed to expand it by Architect Teodoro González. Currently, he is Treasurer of the Simone de Beauvoir Leadership Institute. Since 2015 he has participated in the citizen initiative Mexicos Possible.
Julio Madrazo studied his bachelor’s degree at UNAM’s Faculty of Political and Social Sciences and obtained his master’s degree and is a doctoral candidate in United States Government and Public Policy at Georgetown University. In addition, in 2007 Julio completed the Master’s in Business Advanced Management Program at IE, Madrid, Spain.
